The Nominations Committee of the Internet Society is currently seeking nominations for individuals to serve on the Board of Trustees. If you or someone you know possesses the skills and passion necessary to shape the future of the Internet Society, we encourage you to submit a nomination.
The organization’s by-laws mandate that each year, four trustees are chosen by the Chapters, Organization Members, and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The number of trustees selected by each community is adjusted annually to maintain the board’s equilibrium.
In 2023, the IETF and Organization Members will each choose one trustee, while Chapters will elect two trustees. Following an orientation program, new trustees will begin serving three-year terms starting from the June Annual General Meeting of the Internet Society.
The Board of Trustees offers strategic direction, motivation, and supervision to further the Internet Society’s mission of preserving an open, secure, and trustworthy Internet for everyone. Currently, trustees also serve on the Internet Society Foundation Board.
