Are you a fan of playing thrilling games that involve hunting down spooky ghosts with friends in the dark? If yes, then you’re in luck because Phasmophobia is set to launch on Xbox Series X / S, PS5, and PSVR 2 in August. In addition to this exciting news, the paranormal horror game will also offer optional crossplay support, allowing console and PC players to team up and experience the spine-tingling game together, complete with synchronized screams when a ghost whispers in their ears.
Gamers who own Xbox and PlayStation have eagerly been anticipating news of Phasmophobia making its way to the consoles. During Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase Extended stream, British indie game studio Kinect Games announced the release of the port. The trailer showcases the various types of tools and equipment that players will use in the game to hunt down 24 different ghost types across 10 different locations on the console.
The most exciting news is that PSVR 2 support will be included. Players who have previously experienced Phasmophobia in virtual reality know that it’s a game that’s not for the faint-hearted. The game is full of jump scares that feel eerily realistic in VR, so the addition of PSVR 2 support is a great one.
Phasmophobia will be available in “early access” mode for Xbox Series X / S, PS5, and PSVR 2 in August 2023.
