During the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, Microsoft showcased a new steampunk RPG called Clockwork Revolution developed by inXile Entertainment.
Featuring time-travel elements, Clockwork Revolution is a first-person RPG set in the steam-powered city of Avalon. The inventive gameplay mechanics allow players to travel back in time and shape the events that will alter the story and characters of the game.
According to Xbox Wire blog post, Clockwork Revolution is a first-person action RPG offering “dynamic time-bending combat, deep interconnected roleplaying systems, and the ability to create your own unique character”. The game is set to be released on Xbox Series X / S and PC, but there is no official release date available yet.
The game was described as a “pre-alpha sneak peek” by inXile Entertainment’s studio head, Brian Fargo, so fans might have to wait a while before they can get their hands on it.
