Amazon Tap with Alexa technology
The release of the Amazon Tap did not come as a surprise to me considering how much the Amazon Echo has become a part of my home life. However, what has surprised me is how the Amazon Tap is introducing my friends to the Amazon Echo, and how it may be an excellent fit for their homes as well.
What makes the Amazon Tap so impressive is that it actually contains a full Echo indoors. While it may seem like an ordinary portable speaker commonly found on the market, it actually has Alexa technology within it which I have found to be incredibly useful even after using it for months.
Aside from audio streaming, the capability of asking Alexa, the AI within both the Echo and Tap, consistently highlights the value of its technology. Streamlining services such as music streaming from the web, usually from Pandora or Spotify, as well as streaming music from our iPhones, we were able to stream music for groups of friends to enjoy.
During our discussions, one of my friends is usually prompted to ask Alexa something that adds value to the topic. The result of these sessions usually involves some friends asking about my Amazon Echo, which is operated entirely by voice command. This concept alone is enough to encourage them to consider getting one for themselves.
So far, three of my friends have purchased the Echo and love the device just as much as I do. By introducing a portable Echo like the Tap, which showcases Alexa technology in action, Amazon has done an excellent job in spreading its benefits to many new users.
Overall, the Amazon Tap and Echo continue to impress me, and I always enjoy demonstrating their capabilities to my friends.
