Windows Phone 14342 released

Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows Phone for Fast Ring Insiders. Build 14342 is based on Redstone and brings the phone version up to the desktop counterpart.

Microsoft to remove Sunrise calendar app

Microsoft plans to remove the Sunrise calendar app from Apple and Google stores by the end of August. The firm bought Sunrise a few months back and will follow plans to shut it down.

Nokia phones and tablets will be running Android

Microsoft has sold a license to the Finnish company HMD Global Oy to produce Nokia-branded phones and tablets for the next 10 years. New smartphones and tablets to be produced by the new company will be running Android and not Windows.
